Base Sepolia is a testnet for Base. Base is a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum developed by Coinbase. It is built on Optimism's Open Source OP Stack, so just like Optimism it uses optimistic rollup technology. It was launched in the summer of 2023 during what they dubbed to be "onchain summer". It has already gained a lot of usage, and since they are backed by one of the largest cryptocurrency companies, it is likely to continue to grow. The native token of Base Sepolia is ETH. Steps To Add Base Sepolia to MetaMask
